England 2013 | Indulging

Indulge: To allow oneself to follow one's will

Every summer I go on an annual trip back to England (where i'm originally from) and just chill out, catch up with family and of course go shopping. But this year was a little more hectic as I had to visit my university and sort out a whole load of stuff so in September i don't freak out! About 2 day's into my holiday my exam results were due, which i was very much freaking out about but as you can probably tell by my good mood....i did quite well ;) Which of course meant a celebration!

Champagne in the garden

Strawberry Daiquiris at the proms

I spent the evening at the Prom's (A classical music show.. I know so english of me) which compared to how I would have celebrated back in HK, it's a little different but it was very nice to be with all my family again! The night ended with a beautiful fireworks show which i took 10000 photos of, but this was the only one that came out nicely.

Yay! goodbye IB.
Since I haven't really been feeling my usual happy self I decided that this summer I would treat myself to whatever I wanted because well.. what girl doesn't deserve to feel like a princess? So I became my own best friend and allowed myself to really indulge in what life had to offer.

Relaxing bubble baths to clear away the stress

Food
One of the best ways to cheer yourself up when you're down is of course food, allowing your taste buds to have a party. And oh boy, did I throw them a rave!

[Warning: May cause extreme hunger]

Vanilla bean smoothie with fresh whipped cream
Fresh seaside donuts (traditional england)
Toffee profiteroles with vanilla ice-cream
Milk and white chocolate cheesecake
My very own dish, chicken and broccoli pasta with a mushroom and garlic source.
Fairground candy shop

Shopping

Another one of life's guilty pleasures, especially for me! Some may say I am a shopaholic, but isn't every girl deep down? I almost feel sad when I leave a shop without finding at least one thing to buy. But I decided to change my style a little bit as i usually find myself wanting quantity not quality, so I spent my hard earned cash (not really) on more designer and classier things.

First ever MAC lipstick, once you go MAC you never go back ;)
The only thing to help me stop biting my nails is the though of wearing these beauties.
Full Zara outfit that I fell in love with in the changing room
Overall this holiday was a great get away from all of life's problems (well some of them at least) and I am now ready to enjoy my last few weeks in Hong Kong before heading off back to England to start my new life!
